My Students Rock

One of my students, Steven, the eager young man that he is, took it upon himself to create a commercial for the novel. He conscripted his classmate, Gabriela, to be the spokesperson. It was a very sweet gesture, and something I didn't ask them to do.

Here it is:

Get TASK FORCE: GAEA for free on Earth Day, April 22.

From 12:00 a.m. April 22 to 11:59 p.m., TASK FORCE: GAEA will be FREE on Smashwords to those who have e-readers in honor of Earth Day.

Earth Day, on April 22, celebrates the day founded by Gaylord Nelson, a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, who wanted to fight for a cleaner environment on our planet. Started in 1970, this movement gave birth to the Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts. It has also left a legacy of care and welfare for our planet.

TASK FORCE: GAEA, as its name implies, is a novel about an organization formed to protect the earth—Gaea to the ancient Greeks—from the ravages of metaphysical threats, namely monsters and creatures from Hades, but also from gods and primordial beings. Whether from pollution or chimerae, the earth needs to be protected!

Smashwords sells literature for Kindle, Nook, and other e-readers, so no paper; since TASK FORCE: GAEA on Amazon and Barnes & Noble is an on-demand paperback, people only generate paper copies when they purchase through those sites. For one 24 hour period, the novel will be available FREE as an ebook.

A coupon will be made available HERE at midnight April 22, 2012 (start checking here around 11:59 p.m. on April 21!).

Let's celebrate Earth Day in style by reading about a U. N.-sanctioned task force whose sole purpose is to protect the EARTH.

To Cuba, and Beyond!

TFG in Jibacoa, Matanzas, Cuba.
Here is my friend, Jacques, who is from Canada, poolside in Cuba, with Task Force: Gaea on his chair.

How awesome is that... from one country to another, and neither one is the United States.
